Male and Female Visiting HoursJanuary12, 2011 Sheriff Tim Swanson announces that new video visitation hours will take place on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. The new hours will be Tuesday and Thursday (excluding holidays) from: 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. 12:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. 2:15 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Visitors must register for visiting NO LATER than 10:30 am for morning visitation and 3:30 pm for afternoon visiting. Each inmate will be permitted ONE thirty minute visit each week with a limit of two (including minors) visitors per visit. Proper photo identification (not expired) is required to visit an inmate. No one under the age of sixteen (16) may be left unattended in the visitor's lobby or parking lot at any time. Minor children (under the age of 18 years) must be accompanied by an adult into the visiting room. Once the visitor enters the room and picks up the phone and the inmate picks up the phone - the visit has taken place for the week. It is essential to understand that if an inmate refuses the visit he/she must tell the housing officer BEFORE picking up the phone and starting the visit. No food. beverage or cell phone will be permitted into the visiting room. Proper attire is required to enter the visiting room. The visiting officers have the discretion in determining what is proper attire. Visitors are only permitted one visit per day. Some exceptions may apply. The visitation stations are available on a first come first serve basis. You may be required to wait for your visit or if you arrive late or close to the registration cut off time you may not be able to visit at all. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. You may be temporarily or permanently suspended from visitation and / or criminal charges may be filed if you violates the rules of visitation. Visitors are to park in the visitors parking lot and proceed to the building marked "STARK COUNTY JAIL', located on the east side of the Administration building. MONEY ORDERS AND SARTA BUS TICKETS You may mail money
orders to the inmate at any time.
THE STARK COUNTY SHERIFF'S
OFFICE WILL ONLY ACCEPT MONEY ORDERS FOR THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED
DOLLARS OR LESS. The inmates name shall be on the
money order and the
envelope. The envelope shall have a full return address.
Commissary day is on Wednesday for all inmates and clothing day is on
Friday.
Personal checks are not allowed. Sending cash through the mail is
not recommended. Mail the items to: Inmate's Name WE DO NOT ACCEPT MONEY ORDERS FROM THE "IN-N-OUT" ON McKINLEY AVENUE OR "HALL FUEL MART" ON HARMONT AVENUE. Sarta Bus Tickets are available for the
