The Stark County Sheriffs Office is proud to have the Sheriffs Reserve as
an integral part of its day-to-day operation. This reserve unit is operated under the
auspices of the Sheriff and full-time deputies serve as directors of the organization.
The Reserves are comprised of men and women from the community that have been properly
trained and certified as peace officers. These trusted individuals volunteer their time to
the Sheriffs Office and the Stark County Community.
The Reserve component is comprised of approximately forty sworn members and five guest
(mounted) riders.
The Reserve organization consists of three battalions. One of the battalions is comprised
of the mounted (horse) and motorcycle units.
These deputies augment the regular deputies in many activities throughout the year for the
Sheriffs Office. In addition to day-to-day operations, the reserves assist at the
Stark County Fair and the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival.
