The Stark County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Jackson and Perry Township Police Departments, has uncovered a burglary ring operation involving multiple counties in the surrounding area.

On a tip from the Jackson Township Police Department, and follow-up from a burglary in Harrison County late last week, Stark County Deputies began to piece together a burglary operation in Stark County that spanned a seven (7) county area and impacted a large number of victims.

Deputies have two suspects in custody and have executed search warrants to recover stolen property stored from the numerous burglaries.  Deputies recovered nearly $25,000 in cash, 90 firearms, miscellaneous jewelry, watches, foreign currency, electronics, a ballistic vest, cross bows and compound bows, and miscellaneous tool that are believed to be stolen from residential burglaries.  Deputies continue to investigate but they have thus far determined that the burglaries have occurred in Stark, Wayne, Carroll, Tuscarawas, Harrison, Holmes, and Columbiana Counties.

The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is working with Stark County officers to determine where the burglaries have occurred and are also working closely with neighboring county law enforcement agencies to identify victims of these crimes.
