Sheriff Timothy A. Swanson reports that the Stark County Sheriff's Office (Jail Division) under went an inspection by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction on thursday, October 30, 2003. In accordance with Section 5120.10 of the Ohio Revised Code and Executive Order 92-03 the inspection was conducted. The inspection focused on twenty-nine standards selected from the Minimum Standards for Jails in Ohio. The group of standards reviewed focused on reception, classification, security, communication, visitation, medical, food service, recreation / programming, discipline hearings, administrative segregation, and grievance. The Stark county Sheriff's Office jail was found to be full compliance of those standards.
