Volume 3, Issue IV |
April 2006 |
| The month of
April has been a very busy month. The front entrance doors have been
installed, the video visitation units have gone in, plumbing fixtures are
being hung, painting is ongoing, and so on.
The following pictures were taken on April 25th and only show a small portion of the activity. Meetings have been numerous with the different contractors and vendors on this project. Some topics are signage, inmate TV systems, office systems, keys, data and phone cabling. |

| The project is nearing the
end of actual construction yet there are many more things to be completed.
Plumbing, painting, floor tiles, ceiling grid system and tiles, electrical,
cabinets, landscaping, paving, security grills in the garage, insulation,
interior and exterior signage. Everyday multiple items of seemly simple yet time consuming topics come to light. What way should the floor tile be laid, should the pattern be in-line or mixed? How do they intersect at doors and corridors and look balanced? Where do data and phone connections go in the cabinetry and the cabling grommets? Days go fast. |
